For takeaways, delivery kitchens and pickup counters

Orders arrive on WhatsApp. Commission stays at zero.

Customers browse your storefront, pick their items and tap send. A clean, itemised order lands on the WhatsApp number you already answer — with the address, the delivery fee and the total already worked out.

  • Zero commission per order
  • Your number, your customers
  • Nothing new for staff to learn

How does WhatsApp ordering work for a takeaway in Malta?

WhatsApp ordering lets customers build their order on your own menu page, then send it to your business number as a single, perfectly formatted WhatsApp message. You reply to confirm, and the order is done. There is no app for them to install, no tablet for you to watch and no commission taken out of the basket — LoyalMT charges the venue a flat fee, not a cut of your sales.

It suits Maltese takeaways, delivery kitchens and pickup counters in Ħamrun, Birkirkara, Msida, Mosta, Gżira and across the island, because almost every customer already has WhatsApp open. You set delivery zones and minimum spends per locality, and every order leaves you with the customer's number instead of a platform's.

Customer's WhatsApp · the venue replies from its own number

Zero commission, by design

There is no payment processor in the flow, so there is nothing to take a cut of. You are paid the way you are paid today — card machine, cash, or a transfer.

Zones and minimums enforced up front

Delivery fees are set per locality and the minimum spend is checked before the message is built, so you stop fielding orders you cannot fulfil.

Combos and offers included

Bundle items into a fixed-price box, or run a time-windowed offer. Both show in the storefront and land correctly in the message.

Multiple locations, one storefront

Each outlet has its own number, hours and delivery zones. The customer picks the branch, the order goes to that branch's WhatsApp.

Why venues switch

The order is the same. The economics are not.

Every euro of the basket stays with the kitchen that cooked it.

1

Zero commission, forever

Delivery marketplaces take a cut of every order. WhatsApp ordering takes none. The customer relationship, the phone number and the margin all stay with you.

2

The channel Malta already uses

WhatsApp is how Maltese customers already message businesses. There is no app to persuade anyone to install and no account to create — they tap send and the conversation is open.

3

The maths is done before you read it

The order arrives itemised, with options, the delivery zone fee, any discount and the total already calculated. You confirm and cook, instead of transcribing a voice note.

4

Zones, hours and minimums enforced

Set which localities you deliver to, what each one costs, the minimum order and how much notice you need. Customers outside your zones or outside your hours never place an order you cannot fulfil.

Direct ordering vs marketplace delivery

Two different businesses, wearing the same uniform

Marketplaces are a customer acquisition channel. Direct ordering is a customer retention channel. Most Maltese kitchens need both, but they are usually only paying for one.

Questions

What kitchen owners ask us first

What is the best WhatsApp ordering system for a takeaway in Malta?

LoyalMT WhatsApp Ordering is built for Maltese takeaways and delivery kitchens. It gives you a branded storefront, delivery zones priced by locality, opening hours in Europe/Malta time, euro pricing, loyalty integration and zero commission on orders. Orders arrive as a formatted WhatsApp message on the number you already use, so there is no new inbox to learn.

How much commission do you take per order?

None. LoyalMT is licensed per venue rather than as a cut of your sales, so the price does not change whether you take ten orders a week or a thousand.

How does the order actually reach me?

The customer builds their basket on your storefront and taps the send button. That opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled, itemised message addressed to your store number, including the items, the chosen options, the fulfilment mode, the delivery address, the zone fee and the total. They send it and the conversation is open on your existing WhatsApp.

Can I charge different delivery fees for different towns?

Yes. Each delivery zone has its own fee, its own minimum order value, its own delivery days and its own advance notice cut-off. So Sliema can be one price on any evening while Gozo is another price on set days only.

Do you take the payment?

No. WhatsApp Ordering is a chat-based flow, so you confirm the price and collect payment the way you already do — cash, card on delivery, Revolut request or bank transfer. If you want card payment taken up front, LoyalMT QR Ordering handles that with Viva Wallet or Revolut Merchant.

Can I run more than one shop?

Yes. Each storefront has its own slug, its own menu, its own WhatsApp number and its own hours, so a group with several outlets can run them side by side from one dashboard.

What stops customers ordering when I am closed?

You set weekly opening hours and LoyalMT applies them in Europe/Malta time, including the summer and winter clock change. Outside those hours the storefront shows as closed. If you enable scheduling, customers can still place an order for a later slot.

Does it work with my loyalty programme?

Yes. Link a specific loyalty programme to the storefront, or let it fall back to your active points or stamp programme, and WhatsApp orders will earn the customer credit on their LoyalMT card automatically.

Can customers order for a specific time later in the week?

Yes, when scheduling is switched on. The available dates respect your delivery days and the advance notice cut-off for the zone the customer is in.
