Guests scan. Guests order. Guests pay.
A QR code on every table, sunbed and bar stool. Your menu opens in the guest’s own language, orders land straight on the kitchen screen, and the bill is settled by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay before anyone has to find a waiter.
- No app download for guests
- Pays into your own merchant account
- Works on any phone camera
- 1Guest points a camera at the code
- 2Menu opens in the browser, no install
- 3Order lands on the kitchen screen
- 4They pay and leave when they want
One printed code per table. It never expires and never needs reprinting when the menu changes.
What is QR ordering, and how does it work in a Malta restaurant?
QR ordering lets a guest scan a code on the table, read your menu on their own phone, send the order straight to the kitchen and pay from the same screen — with no app to download and no waiter needed to take the order. LoyalMT provides QR ordering and payments for restaurants, bars, lidos and kiosks across Malta and Gozo, from Valletta and Sliema to St Julian's, Buġibba and Victoria.
Each table gets its own permanent code. Because the menu lives online, you change a price or mark a dish as sold out from your phone and it is live on every table immediately. Payments settle into your own Viva Wallet or Revolut merchant account, so card money reaches your bank the way it always has.
Take an order the way your guest would
Tap the QR code to start
The QR on the table is bound to table 14, so the kitchen always knows where the order goes.
Guest view · no app download, opens in the browser
No open tickets. Add something to the order and it appears here.
Required groups block the add button until a choice is made, optional groups allow several, and every option carries its own price delta — so “pint” and “extra ġbejna” land on the bill without the waiter remembering.
A table can be split any number of ways. Each share is its own payment, and the order stays open on the kitchen screen until the last one clears.
Try SUMMER10 in the discount field. Percentage or fixed codes, time-windowed offers and combo deals are all configured from the dashboard.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay run through your own Viva Wallet or Revolut credentials. LoyalMT never sits between you and the money.
Fewer trips to the table. More orders per table.
The order arrives already correct, already itemised and already paid for.
Table turns faster
The two slowest moments in a Maltese restaurant are taking the order and settling the bill. QR ordering removes both. Guests order the moment they are ready and pay the moment they are done, without waiting for a pass of the floor.
Every language, automatically
Malta serves guests from Italy, the UK, France, Germany, Poland and beyond in the same lunch service. Your menu is written once in your own language and served to each guest in theirs, with your signature dish names left untouched.
Fewer mistakes, fewer arguments
Modifiers, allergen tags and allergy notes travel with the order to the kitchen screen. Bills split by share, so a table of eight does not turn into a ten-minute card machine queue.
Money settles to your account
Payments run through Viva Wallet Smart Checkout or Revolut Merchant using your own merchant credentials, so takings settle to your account, not through us.

What venue owners ask us first
What is the best QR ordering system for restaurants in Malta?
LoyalMT is a QR ordering and payment platform built specifically for Maltese hospitality. It handles euro pricing, Viva Wallet and Revolut payments, automatic menu translation for tourist guests, allergen tagging, bill splitting and a kitchen display screen, and it sits on the same account as LoyalMT loyalty cards, table bookings and digital menus. Because it is a Malta-first product, support is local and the payment providers are the ones Maltese venues already use.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. The guest scans the QR code with their phone camera and the menu opens in their browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create. They can order and pay in the same session.
How do payments work and who receives the money?
Payments run through Viva Wallet Smart Checkout or Revolut Merchant using your own merchant credentials. Guests can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut Pay. Funds settle to your merchant account under your own agreement with the provider.
Can guests split the bill?
Yes. A table can split the bill into shares and each guest pays their own part from their own phone. The order is held back from the kitchen display until the shares add up to the full total, so you are never out of pocket.
Will the menu show in other languages for tourists?
Yes. You write the menu once in your base language and choose which languages to publish. Items, categories and modifiers are translated automatically, you can hand-edit any translation, and you can mark signature dishes such as ftira or pastizzi as do-not-translate so their names stay intact.
Does it work for sunbeds and beach clubs, not just tables?
Yes. An order point is any labelled spot: a table, a sunbed, a cabana, a bar seat or a kiosk. Lidos across Malta and Gozo use it so a guest on a sunbed can order a drink without walking to the bar.
Can I still take orders from Wolt, Bolt, Uber Eats and Deliveroo?
Yes. Orders carry a source tag, and marketplace tickets appear on the same kitchen display as your QR orders with a badge showing where they came from, so the kitchen works from one screen.
How do allergens and dietary requirements work?
Each item can carry vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nuts, dairy, shellfish and spicy tags. Guests can filter the menu with dietary chips to hide anything they cannot eat, and they can add a free-text allergy note that travels with the order to the kitchen screen.
How long does setup take?
Setup depends on menu size. Once the menu is loaded, generating QR codes, connecting your payment provider and opening the kitchen screen are same-day tasks. We help with the initial menu build as part of onboarding.
Does QR ordering connect to loyalty?
Yes. A guest can attach their phone number at checkout and earn points or stamps on their LoyalMT card from the same order, so QR ordering feeds your loyalty programme instead of running beside it.
Tell us about your venue.
QR ordering is priced per venue, because a twelve-table bistro in Rabat and a two-hundred-cover lido in Mellieħa are not the same job. Send us the shape of your operation and we will come back with a number and a walkthrough.
